The Akuo Group and Lendosphere have launched a crowdfunding campaign to support the expansion of the Santas solar plant, one of Portugal’s largest. Open to the public, the campaign is hosted on the “AkuoCoop by Lendosphere” platform, with an initial fundraising goal of 1 million euros.
Through this interest-bearing loan, participants can help finance the growth of the Santas solar plant in Alentejo, operated by Akuo. This offers savers a unique chance to actively contribute to the energy transition while making their investment portfolios more sustainable.
Éric Scotto, Chairman and co-founder of Akuo, said, “When we won the bidding in 2019, the entire sector was struck by our boldness. Thanks to amazing teamwork with our partners, we were able to build the Santas plant and are now getting ready to expand it. This project, which entirely serves Portuguese citizens, provides a reliable, green and inexpensive source of energy that will contribute not only to Portugal’s energy targets, but also to its energy independence. It should be acknowledged that the Portuguese government has always shown itself to be forward-looking, and we can only thank it for its vision and trust”. |
