ACME Solar Holdings Limited has successfully commissioned 1,023.05 MW of solar power projects in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, through its subsidiaries. The projects were commissioned on December 18, 2024, marking the company’s largest single-day achievement for the year. This milestone increases ACME Solar’s total operational renewable energy capacity to 2,363 MW.
The commissioned projects are part of four SECI-connected solar plants, each with a planned capacity of 300 MW. Out of this, 238 MW was commissioned under ACME Dhaulpur Powertech Private Limited, 253 MW under ACME Deoghar Solar Power Private Limited, 260.05 MW under ACME Phalodi Solar Energy Private Limited, and 272 MW under ACME Raisar Solar Energy Private Limited. The remaining 177 MW from these projects has already been energized and is in the process of commissioning.
These projects are strategically located in one of India’s highest solar irradiation zones, which allows for optimal power generation. The facilities share common infrastructure, improving efficiency and reducing costs. Once fully operational, the plants are expected to generate approximately 3,000 million units (MUs) of clean electricity annually, offsetting greenhouse gas emissions by 2.6 million tonnes per year.
The projects are financed by the Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and REC Limited, with a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in place with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at a tariff of ?2.44 per unit. The solar plants began supplying power in October 2024.
Nikhil Dhingra, CEO of ACME Solar Holdings, expressed gratitude to all stakeholders and highlighted the company’s commitment to expanding its portfolio in Rajasthan. With plans for further CTU-connected solar, floating solar, and hybrid energy projects, ACME Solar aims to leverage its existing connectivity and agreements to strengthen its renewable energy footprint in the region. |
