INTEC Energy Solutions (INTEC), a global leader in innovative energy solutions, is excited to announce its role in providing complete Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services for the 640MWh Woolooga Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project in Queensland, Australia. This project is one of the largest energy storage initiatives in the region and is a significant step toward integrating renewable energy in the country. INTEC is working alongside Hithium, a top provider of integrated energy storage solutions, to deliver the Woolooga BESS Project. INTEC will manage the full EPC services and provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for the plant over the next 25 years, ensuring that the system remains efficient and reliable. The 640MWh Woolooga BESS will include 128 advanced BESS containers, designed to store energy and improve grid stability and efficiency. This project further strengthens the renewable energy infrastructure in Australia. Building on its successful history of delivering top-quality solar projects across Europe, INTEC is now expanding its operations in Australia to help meet the country’s increasing energy needs. As part of this expansion, INTEC has opened a new office and hired local staff to support its ongoing projects. This move demonstrates the company’s commitment to contributing to Australia’s energy sector growth. Phil Wood, INTEC’s Country Manager, commented, “Through a strong partnership with Lightsource bp, INTEC is poised to deliver exceptional results that align with Australia’s renewable energy goals. This project underscores our dedication to the region and our efforts to create impactful energy solutions.” Once operational, the Woolooga BESS project will help provide clean, renewable energy to the grid. It will also play a key role in reducing Australia’s carbon footprint and supporting the country’s shift toward a more sustainable energy future. |
