The Baco photovoltaic plant consists of more than 50,400 solar panels, spread over an area of ??32 hectares, with an estimated capacity to generate 48 GWh per year. Construction had begun in May of last year .
For its part, Madre Vieja, in the district of Progreso, “is the largest that Enel Green Power has built in Panama,” it is assured. It has installed around 70,000 solar panels that complete 30.88 MW, on a surface area of ??33 hectares, with the capacity to generate approximately 48.91 GWh per year. With work starting in April 2021 , it was being tested since March 2023. This installation has the particularity of having 2,600 pre-installed and pre-wired Maverick modules, an initiative developed by the Australian company 5B , with a joint contribution of 1.17 MWp.
