It is a 450 kW plant fully equipped with Sungrow FPV systems for the agricultural company MIGIVA Group.
On one of the farms of its Agrícola Andrea farm, in the Peruvian department of Ica, the company MIGIVA Group has put into operation a 450 kW floating photovoltaic plant whose production is destined for self-consumption.
The plant is fully equipped with Sungrow FPV systems with an expected annual power generation of over 780,000 kWh.
Sungrow says the installation will help the farm save approximately $38,000 in electricity costs annually.
The peculiarity is that the plant is built on a reservoir located within the farm, which in turn is surrounded by desert land. In this environment, the floating solar system contributes - it is said - to addressing "the challenges of water scarcity in the region by reducing evaporation losses and preserving the quality of the water in the reservoir." |
