China’s ZTT Submarine Cable & System has delivered what it says is Croatia’s first submarine cable installation in over four decades, a project described as a historic and ESG-focused milestone as it aims to modernize the country’s energy system.
According to ZTT, the 65.78-kilometer, 42 kV submarine cable project interconnects 20 islands in the Adriatic Sea, marking a transformative milestone in Croatia’s energy infrastructure as it combines historical significance with technical excellence and ESG principles.
The cable complies with the stringent IEC63026 standard, while rigorous quality control and close collaboration with HEP ensured full compliance during factory acceptance tests (FAT), guaranteeing long-term operational reliability, the company said. |
