The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has brought its Continuing Regulatory Education for Stakeholders – Regulatory Updates Conference (CREST RUC) to Baguio City, gathering over 160 energy stakeholders from North Luzon to discuss vital updates in the country’s energy regulatory landscape.
The three-day event, running from December 11 to 13, 2024, aims to provide energy professionals with critical insights on the latest policies, regulatory frameworks, and consumer rights, which are essential for ensuring the provision of reliable and affordable electricity services to Filipino consumers.
Key Discussions and Participation
ERC Chairperson Monalisa C. Dimalanta opened the conference with a message emphasizing the importance of regulatory education in enhancing sector compliance and efficiency. She stated, “It is crucial for stakeholders to stay updated on the latest developments, standards, and best practices in the energy industry. Our actions today will shape the energy landscape of tomorrow.”
Over 160 officials and representatives from North Luzon’s distribution utilities (DUs) participated in the event, engaging in discussions led by ERC experts.
