The initiative will benefit more than 30,000 students and seeks to improve the citys educational spaces with strategic infrastructure projects.
The White Hall of the La Plata City Hall was the venue for the opening of the envelopes for the tender to carry out works in 80 schools within the framework of the plan that aims to enhance a total of 100 educational buildings in the city.
The 80 establishments intervened by the Educational Fund constitute the first stage of the plan, which will benefit more than 30 thousand students from the district, and it is expected that another 20 educational institutions will be added soon.

The works, whose award and start are scheduled for the course of this month, vary according to the area and include tasks such as the preparation of subfloors and coverings; the repair of floors, sidewalks, doors, windows, decks and roofs; the cleaning of sewage drains; and the installation of toilets and air conditioning equipment.
Painting and carpentry work; the extension of the running water network; the installation of fire extinguishers, windows, mirrors, glass, bicycle racks, benches, waste baskets, flower pots and signage; and the construction of access ramps for people with disabilities; among others.

The event was attended by the Secretary of Planning, Public Works and Services, Sergio Resa; the head of the Education area, Paula Lambertini; the Undersecretary of Works, Martín Mendoza Zelis; and the Undersecretary of Education and Local Innovation of La Plata, Yamila Olariaga.

The works are divided into four zones:
The first zone is made up of the following establishments: EEP 17, ES 28, EE 536 and EET 2 (Villa Elisa); JI 928, EP 107 and EP 41 (Jose Hernandez); EP 44, ES 15, EP 69, ES 42, JI 911, JI Islas Malvinas and JI 942 (City Bell); EP 92 and ES 37 (Joaquin Gorina); ES 59 and ES 75 (Gonnet); Municipal Pedagogical School 1 El Rincon (El Rincon); Provincial Pedagogical School 1 Algarrobas Extension (Arturo Segui).
The second area includes the following institutions: ES 34, EP 102, ES 13, ES 26, ES 46, EET 6 ext 0260, JI 901, EE 514, EE 526, EE 527, EE 531, JI Municipal 12 Dardo Rocha and EE 534 (urban area); EP 30, ES 50, EET 8 (Tolosa); ES 55, EET 5 (Villa Elvira); Casa del Niño AMAD (Villa Castells); JI Municipal 6 Hugo Stunz (Ringuelet).
The third area is made up of the following educational entities: EP 27, EP 59, JI 975, EP 125, ES 81, JI Municipal 2, JI Municipal 11 Villa Montoro, Provincial Pedagogical School 2 Barrio Jardín (Villa Elvira); EP 46 and ES 43 (Arana); EP 62 and ES 52 (urban area); JI 972, EP 72, ES 49, ES 3, Provincial Pedagogical School 2, Los Hornos Extension, Adult ES 456 (Los Hornos); ES 45 and EE 532 (Altos de San Lorenzo).
Finally, zone 4 is made up of the schools listed below: JI 930, EP 26, EP 57, EP 70, EES 38, Agraria 1 (Abasto); EP 28, ES 53, EP 83 (Los Hornos); EP 48, JI 927, JI 947 (Lisandro Olmos); EP 35 (Arana); JI 987, EP 75, ES 84, EE 529 (Melchor Romero); JI 990 and EP 77 (El Peligro); ES 61 (Etcheverry). |
