The Provincial Highway Department called for tenders for almost 40 billion pesos for the East-South Corridor.
Last Friday and Saturday, the Provincial Highway Department issued a call for tenders for the renovation of Provincial Route 153, First Stage, a key and strategic project on the East-South commercial and productive corridor, which will be financed with the Compensation Fund of 1,023 million dollars.
This is the resurfacing of the road that extends from Las Catitas to Ñancuñán, in the department of Santa Rosa, the first section of this road that links the Mercosur bioceanic corridor, on National Route 7, with the department of San Rafael.

According to the plan between the Provincial Directorate of Roads (DPV) and the Undersecretariat of Infrastructure and Territorial Development, a budget of 18.8 billion pesos is planned for the 85-kilometer-long project.
In addition to the installation of a new asphalt layer, the replacement of the upper slabs on two bridges located on the route is also being added.
The deadline set by the DPV for carrying out the work is one year and the opening of economic offers from companies interested in reconstructing RP 153 will be opened on Thursday, November 19, at 10 a.m.
Compensation Fund for the province of Mendoza
The call for bids for the resurfacing of RP 153, First Stage, thus becomes the third work tendered with the Compensation Fund of 1,023 million dollars and is added to the other two calls for bids made, for RP 153, Second Stage, between Ñancuñán (Santa Rosa) and Monte Comán (San Rafael); and RP 171, between Monte Comán and Real del Padre, both localities in San Rafael.
The provincial government and Vialidad Mendoza plan to invest a total of 39.428 million pesos in these three strategic works, to leave a new corridor that begins at RP 153, continues after passing Monte Coman to the south along RP 171, and reaches Real del Padre, where it connects with National Route 143, guaranteeing fluid road connectivity with San Rafael and General Alvear.
Regarding the tenders for RP 153 Second Stage and RP 171, the economic proposals have already been opened, with great interest from the private sector. In the first stage, 15 companies submitted 10 offers, while in the second stage, 9 companies submitted 7 economic proposals.
