December will be a month of tenders and the start of works in the city of Neuquén, after the proposal of the plan for 3,000 blocks of asphalt in the city to be developed over the next two years. This week, tenders will begin for the repaving of streets in at least five neighborhoods and then there will be bidding processes for new asphalt in Islas Malvinas, Altos del Limay, Confluencia and Valentina Sur, among other sectors of the capital.

This week, work began on paving the last 500 meters of Raúl Soldi Avenue, the section that connects with the former Route 7 or Raúl Alfonsín urban avenue, from the paved section in the west.
It is a project that was budgeted at 1.3 billion pesos and is part of the plan for 25 new avenues announced by the municipal government, with a deadline of one year for the completion of the works.
The inauguration of the last paved blocks of the Terrazas neighborhood is scheduled for today, after two months of completing blocks in the sector.
“Terrazas will be completely paved,” said the Secretary of Infrastructure and Planning, Alejandro Nicola.
Of the tenders that began in October, for example, the start of activity in the municipal building of the Technological Pole of Neuquén was announced, a project that was awarded to the company Mocciola, which also completed the work on the private building in October.
This month, the municipality is expected to call for bids to repave the streets of Moritán, Belgrano, El Cholar and Casimiro Gómez, with the opening of bids scheduled for next Tuesday.
A day later, on December 11, a tender will begin for the streets in neighborhoods that were regularized throughout 2023 and 2024, Nicola said.
Contracts for paving Forquera, Haroldo Conti and Bosch streets are expected to begin on December 20, while paving for Chivilcoy Street, between Pergamino and Olavarría, is scheduled to begin on January 8, 2025.
Not just asphalt: there will be sewer and storm water works
“In all cases, when we talk about paving, it involves carrying out related works in places where there are none: storm water, sewers and ditching to supplement drinking water if necessary” said the official.
He described that before reaching the start of new contracts after the tender for repaving and new asphalt, Crouzeilles (in Canal V), the paving of Parque Industrial, the La Familia neighborhood, Confluencia and 204 Fonavi homes, among others, were tendered.
Paving will also be carried out in Altos del Limay, between Chimehuin and Río Senguer. There was a tender for Islas Malvinas Street, with repaving between Bouquet Roldan and San Martín.
Other paving works to begin this month will be on several streets in Valentina Sur (more than 150 blocks, it was indicated) or the repaving of Obrero Argentino, in the section between Richieri and Mosconi, or old Route 22.
The city is expected to be under construction until April. |
