Kernex Microsystems (India) Limited announced rcently that it has secured a ?2,041.04 crore contract from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, a division of the Ministry of Railways. The project involves the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 2,500 On-board KAVACH systems, adhering to RDSO Specification No. RDSO/SPN/196/2020, Version 4.0.
The KAVACH system, also known as the Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) or Automatic Train Protection System (IRATPS), is a cutting-edge safety technology aimed at preventing train collisions and enhancing operational security. The project is set for completion within 12 months.
