PNN 84115
Work Detail There will be three works tendered for the East-South Corridor section, which are two stages for Route 153, and another work on Route 171. The Provincial Government has issued several calls for tenders to improve two provincial routes that connect the East of the province with the South, which are 153 and 171, and which are currently completely deteriorated. In total, an investment of $39,428 million is expected, which will come from the funds for compensation for Industrial Promotion, which were to be allocated to the failed Portezuelo del Viento project, and of which Mendoza has US$ 1,023 million, of which at least a quarter of that money already has a specific destination. The news released by the Provincial Highway Department on Monday was the call for tenders for section I of route 153 (85 kilometers), which connects Santa Rosa with San Rafael; and which will have a budget of $18.8 billion. In addition, there will be two tenders that are already underway, which are section II of the same route 153, with $12.708 million (for 57.9 kilometers); and the repair of 35 kilometers of route 171, which is a sort of continuation of the 153 to the south, from Monte Comán to Real del Padre (the two towns in San Rafael), with a budget of $7.920 million. The work itself is important for Mendoza, especially in terms of communication from Route 7 at the height of Las Catitas, in Santa Rosa; towards the south of the province, between San Rafael and General Alvear, with a road that is mostly used by trucks, who find a more direct route to the south, without going through the urban areas of Tunuyán and San Rafael on National Route 40. In addition to the installation of a new asphalt layer, the replacement of the upper slabs on two bridges located on the route will be added. The deadline set by the DPV for carrying out the work is one year and the opening of the economic offers from interested companies will be on Thursday, November 19, at 10:00 a.m. The resurfacing of the 153 First Stage thus becomes the third work tendered with the Compensation Fund of US$ 1,023 million. The provincial government and Vialidad Mendoza will invest a total of $39,428 million in these three strategic works, to renovate a corridor that begins on Route 153, continues after passing Monte Comán to the south along Route 171, and reaches Real del Padre, where it connects with National Route 143, guaranteeing fluid road connectivity with San Rafael and General Alvear. In the first, 15 companies submitted 10 offers, while in the second, 9 companies submitted 7 economic proposals. For 153, the companies that presented the economic offers were Macalba SA, CEOSA, Black Shadow SA, the UT formed by Hugo del Carmen Ojeda and SEMISA SA, the UT made up of the companies Constructora San José SRL, AYFRA SRL, Stornini SA and Tolcon SA, José Cartellone Construcciones Civiles SA, Coingsa SA, Vial Agro SA, the UT composed of Genco SA and Laugero Construcciones SA and Green SA. The Councillor for Roads in the Southern Zone, Leonardo Viñolo, considered that this route "is of utmost importance for the southern part of the province because it links us to three national routes (7, 143 and 188). Traffic has been growing in recent years and it already deserved to be resurfaced." Meanwhile, the East Zone Road Councilor, Jorge García Salazar, stressed that "the work is very necessary, because Provincial Route 153 is the most important North-South productive corridor in the province after National Route 40, and in this case links the eastern oasis with the southern part of the province." Meanwhile, proposals were submitted by Marcalba SA, the UT (Temporary Union) of Genco SA and Laugero Construcciones, Black Shadow, José Cartellone SA, the UT of Hugo del Carmen Ojeda and Semisa SA, Coinsa SA and finally Green SA for the 171st. Marité Badui, Undersecretary of Infrastructure, stressed that "Provincial Route 171 is a very important project, because it is 35 kilometers that connect three oases that make up General Alvear, San Rafael and Santa Rosa, since this route is the logical continuation of Route 153 that runs through the eastern department."
