Work Detail The 28th World Investment Conference, organized by Invest Saudi in collaboration with the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), concluded on November 27 in Riyadh. The conference, held from November 25-27, centered on themes of international cooperation, innovation, and sustainability, drawing global attention to opportunities for investment and economic growth. In his closing remarks, His Excellency Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Investment, expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his generous patronage of the event. “We have addressed the challenges facing global investment and reviewed the unlimited opportunities that await us, focusing on digital transformation, sustainable growth, and agreements within the framework of the National Initiative for Global Supply Chains,” said Al-Falih. The Minister emphasized the commitment of all participants to shaping a future built on cooperation, innovation, and flexibility. He highlighted the Kingdom’s role as a leading global destination for economic growth, driven by the ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030. Al-Falih also acknowledged the significant impact of strategic partnerships, national value chains, and advanced technologies in driving Saudi Arabia’s economic development. The conference, themed “Harnessing Digital Transformation and Sustainable Growth,” featured in-depth discussions on the challenges and opportunities arising from digital transformation, sustainability, and the development of local value chains. Key highlights included Saudi Vision 2030 as a transformational framework to align global partnerships and foster technological innovation. The final day of the conference featured sessions on “Strategic Alliances: Leveraging Partnerships for Investment Success” and “Bridging Borders,” which focused on transparent cooperation and organizational cohesion. Other discussions emphasized operational excellence in investment promotion agencies, particularly around governance, efficiency, and leveraging technology to enhance the investor experience. The conference also showcased Saudi Arabia’s competitive advantages in specialized industries, with a focus on advanced manufacturing and renewable energy. Al-Falih expressed appreciation for WAIPA’s collaboration in organizing the event and underscored the global impact of the conference’s discussions, partnerships, and agreements in driving investments and sustainable growth worldwide.
