Enphase Energy, Inc., a global leader in energy technology and the top supplier of microinverter-based solar and battery systems, has unveiled its new Busbar Power Control software. This innovative feature of the Power Control™ software enables homeowners to install larger solar and battery systems without needing expensive upgrades to their main electrical panels. The software optimizes solar and battery performance by safely managing the busbar, the component in the main electrical panel that distributes power throughout the home. It intelligently balances power from solar panels, batteries, EV chargers, the grid, and home energy usage, ensuring maximum efficiency and safety.
The new Busbar Power Control software from Enphase Energy allows homeowners to install larger Enphase Energy Systems and make the most of their solar and battery power—without upgrading their main electrical panel. This helps maximize savings by boosting self-consumption of solar energy, increasing power exports to the grid, and taking full advantage of dynamic electricity rate structures like California’s NEM 3.0. In California, where electricity rates peak during certain months, the software can deliver significant value—potentially saving homeowners hundreds of dollars. Additionally, by avoiding the need for costly electrical panel upgrades, customers could save thousands of dollars.

Enphase Power Control software, certified under UL3141 and UL1741, is now in production for a wide range of solar-plus-storage systems, with or without backup capabilities. Installers can integrate this new feature using the Solargraf® platform, a cloud-based tool for system design, proposals, and permitting, to showcase the benefits of Power Control to their customers. The Busbar Power Control feature is available immediately as a software update, offering enhanced functionality for both new and existing systems. |
