PNN 83938
Work Detail German startup Renergo aims to raise a low single-digit million euro amount in a crowd-investing campaign to finance the development of its renewable projects.“We have a pipeline of solar park and battery storage projects that we currently cannot fully develop with our own funds and would therefore need to market early. Through this financing round, we aim to cover the development costs of the planned projects and also explore other areas like wind energy,” founders Markus Arnold and Peter Waldmann commented in a statement on Friday. Renergo plans to use crowdinvesting platform Wiwin. Through it, private individuals will be able to commit sums starting from EUR 250 (USD 264.1m) to the company. The digital security matures on December 31, 2029, and offers a maximum expected return of 9.24%, including bonuses. Founded in 2022, Renergo specialises in developing solar parks, energy storage systems and wind farms. It currently has a pipeline of projects with a total capacity of 300 MWp. To identify suitable sites for development, the startup uses its in-house geoinformation system, which evaluates topography, exclusion zones, land eligibility and grid feed-in capacity. Under the current model, Renergo sells its projects to institutional investors after obtaining building permits. The crowdfunding will allow the firm to keep the projects longer, build them independently, and potentially even operate them. (EUR 1 = USD 1.056)
