The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of two (2) road sections to ensure better mobility and accessibility in Barangay Laoac and Barangay Atainan in the Municipality of Alcala, Pangasinan.
In his update to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Region I Director Ronnel M. Tan said that the road improvement project now significantly ensures smoother travel for motorists and nearby residents.
The 2.18-kilometer asphalt overlay project was divided into two (2) road sections, completing 1.59-kilometers in Barangay Laoac and 0.59-kilometer in Barangay Atainan.
Included in the road improvement project is the installation of solar LED street lights to ensure safety and improve visibility during nighttime.
The completion of the P19.31-million road rehabilitation project enhances economic activity, supports local businesses, and enables more efficient transportation and distribution of agricultural products to nearby major markets.
Implemented by the Pangasinan 3rd District Engineering Office, the project was funded under the 2024 General Appropriations Act. |
