Four bids were submitted to build the culvert over the San Gabriel stream
. The opening of the Public Tender was at the Cultural Center of the Government of Chajarí. Mayors from the region and authorities from CAFESG participated.
The opening ceremony was attended by the President of CAFESG Carlos Cecco, the Mayor of Chajarí Marcelo Borghesan and the Mayor of Villa del Rosario Vanina Perini, among other officials. The tender is for the construction of a culvert over the San Gabriel stream on a country road in the San Roque Colony, in the Federación department. The official budget for the project is $418,783,892.56. Four companies participated on this occasion: Incar, which offered $416,499,114.29 pesos, Cyalco, which budgeted $349,994,286.99, Vecchio, $421,260,530.68 and Grinac, $397,225,211.47.
Before opening the envelopes, the Mayor of Villa del Rosario, Vanina Perini, addressed those present. She recalled the work done together with Borghesan and thanked “all those who did a little to make this a future and beautiful reality. We support this project even though it is not in our territory, we have a regional perspective, thinking of the producers and all the neighbors.”
Then Carlos Cecco spoke, who acknowledged “that this project had been requested for a long time” and thanked those who worked and made the project possible. “Here is also the effort of the change that our Governor is producing in the allocation of funds, since now the funds are destined for schools, hospitals and roads for production.”
«We have recently finished the month of August with practically all the works of the previous administration and now we are up to date with the resources and we really have a program of works from now on (…) there is a planning for the future, I believe that before the end of the year we will be calling for bids and closing more than 17 works», he added.
Finally, the Mayor of Chajarí Marcelo Borguesan took the floor, who recognized «the importance of the production roads, in an area that uses them a lot, this road that is currently closed, has to be made a very big turn, and well, it was a claim that we have been making together for a long time. All of us who are part of the table here, put our grain of sand so that this comes out, always thinking of the view, as Vanina (Perini) said, of the region, of the Department».
He also thanked "our governor Rogelio Frigerio, because he understood the need we had in this place, to be able to count on this work that was expensive, which is expensive, but we know the importance it has in our community," and he also recognized the work of the CAFESG board of directors "for approving this work that is so important for us."
Bridge/Culvert Project over San Gabriel Creek
The project was prepared by the CAFESG technical team. It includes the construction of a box-type reinforced concrete culvert, with six spans of 3m wide by 3.50m high each, to be carried out within the area corresponding to the San Roque colony.
The new culvert will allow vehicular traffic to cross the course of the San Gabriel stream at its intersection with the layout of a local street, being of great importance for the transport of supplies and production in a wide area that is influenced by the location of the work.
The culvert will also have two 7m wide wheel guards located on both sides of the road and vehicle protections made up of galvanized metal guardrails, both on the superstructure and on the access embankments. The rectification of the existing natural channel is also contemplated, both upstream (to the south) and downstream (to the north), in order to improve the hydraulic functioning of the sewer and reduce the effects of erosion caused by the circulation of water corresponding to the channel in question.
