The works will address structural problems such as leaks in roofs, cracks in walls and floors, and openings, including waterproofing of reinforced concrete slabs and re-roofing of roofs.
The firm ICA SRL quoted the sum of $363,928,644.99 to carry out the comprehensive renovation work on the Health Center within a period of 120 days.
The Provincial Government tendered the comprehensive renovation of the Health Center located in the La Loma neighborhood, in Reconquista. It was in an event that was attended by the Ministers of Public Works, Lisandro Enrico; of Health, Silvia Ciancio; and of Labor, Roald Báscolo.
Before opening the envelopes, Minister Enrico recalled that “by decision of Governor Maximiliano Pullaro, Santa Fe is an example at the national level for the pace of works it maintains, at a time when other provinces had to stop their public works.” In particular, he highlighted that the same day the repair of the Samco Hospital in Villa Ana and the refurbishment of the Malabrigo Health Center in Helvecia were put out to tender. Regarding the health system, in the General Obligado Department, “we are carrying out the works of refurbishing and expansion of the hospitals in Villa Guillermina and Villa Ocampo,” he added.
“We are working closely with deputies Dionisio Scarpín, who chairs the Public Works Commission of the Chamber of Deputies; and with Charo Mancini, on the works plan projected for the north of the province. And that is why, in terms of roads, we are resuming work on provincial route 32 and 3, which, although not part of the Obligado department, is key to road connectivity. We soon want to resume provincial route 31, the Intiyaco – Tartagal section, to properly link these two localities,” explained Enrico.
“We can do all this because we have put public accounts in order, from the first day of our administration, taking care of the importance of each Santa Fe citizen and making efficient use of resources. Santa Fe is today one of the few provinces that has maintained the pace of public works despite the national recession, but not only have we maintained it, we have also shown signs of increasing the rates of execution of national public works in relation to other administrations,” said the minister.
In addition to the ministers, municipal authorities were present, as well as provincial deputies Dionisio Scarpin and María del Rosario Mancini; the Secretary of Public Works, Marcelo Pascualón; the Director of Architecture and Engineering, Andrés Francesconi; the Secretary of Management and Institutional Strengthening of the Ministry of Health, Gonzalo Chiesa; and the Undersecretary of Territorial Management for the Center-North, Leonardo Martínez Dechiara.
Works for primary care
For her part, Minister Ciancio said that she was aware of the situation of the Health Center building during a previous visit to the city, so the recovery project was included in a work plan with the Public Works team: “For us, it is very important to strengthen the health network, starting with the first level, with works such as those that will be carried out to recover this Health Center, which has structural problems; while the Public Works team is also carrying out other emblematic projects, such as the Rafaela Hospital, which we will surely be able to inaugurate next year.”
“Health centres are where quality care is born, but we are in debt if the health team has to work in a building that is in conditions like the ones we see here,” the minister continued. For this reason, she pointed out that “today is a day to rejoice and celebrate that we are fulfilling the word of our governor, so that well-managed resources return to the people in works like the one we are going to carry out in this neighbourhood of Reconquista.”
During the opening of the envelopes, the offer was received from the firm ICA SRL, which quoted the sum of $363,928,644.99 to carry out the comprehensive renovation work on the Health Center within a period of 120 days.
