The Mugica Neighborhood Fair is one of the main economic activity centers for the residents. Among the 250 new stands you can visit various types of products and services: fruits, vegetables, hair salons, restaurants, clothing, and crafts. Every passenger on a long-distance bus that enters the Retiro Bus Terminal sees the movement of transactions that take place every day at the Fair.
We work to promote the economic development of the Mugica neighborhood, and in this context, the enhancement of the Fair is a fundamental step. In 2016, we began to think about this transformation together with the 300 fairgoers in a work cycle where we meet month after month to think about what their new sales location would be like. The path had many steps: from surveys and presentation of documentation, to workshops with fairgoers where together we organized the stands and jointly defined with them how the coexistence would be.
