Six bids were submitted at the opening of the tender envelopes for the Quequén transformer substation upgrade project.
The offers are as follows:
-American Projects and Works UTE presented a bid for 30,568,400.00 pesos
-Esuco SA offered 25,207,872,000 pesos
-Eco Construcciones UTE presented a bid for 24,908,726,400 pesos
-Monteelectro SA offered 28,582,718,642 pesos
-Argentcobra SA pesos 31,999,273,011
-Eleprint SA and Martinez de La Fuente SA UTE pesos 26,793,690,865
The official budget was 22.46 billion pesos and the project will be partially financed by the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF). It represents a crucial push to modernize the electrical infrastructure in the region.
The project, called “New Quequén 132/33/13.2 kV – 2×30/30/30 Mva Substation and Link to the 132 kV System”, includes:
-Construction of the transformer station with advanced 132 kV GIS (Gas Insulator Switchgear) systems.
-Installation of equipment to transform energy to 132/33/13.2 kV, with the capacity to serve an increase of 66,000 new residential users.
-Modernization and connection of the existing infrastructure, including the opening of the Necochea-Vivoratá high voltage line to integrate the new station.
