Work Detail French contractor Bouygues has been selected by British property company Segro to redevelop Les Gobelins railway station in southwestern Paris as a logistics centre. The 75,000 sq m Segro Paris Les Gobelins Centre will be divided into 20 modular units designed by French architect Les Ateliers 4+. The project aims to meet Paris’ low emission zone quota for vehicles and reduce the carbon footprint of deliveries in the city. William Nippert, Bouygues Bâtiment Industrie’s chief executive, said: “We are proud to contribute our expertise and dedication to building infrastructures that improve the quality of urban life. “Bouygues’ know-how is put to good use in ambitious projects such as the redevelopment of the former Les Gobelins station, which is designed not only to optimise last-mile logistics but also to strengthen urban links through the creation of local jobs.” Segro is also planning a nearby amenity containing a café, a concierge service, a bicycle repair shop, a click-and-collect facility and a recycling point. Segro Paris Les Gobelins Centre is due to be completed in July 2025.
