The Ministry of Public Works and Services reported that six companies submitted bids for the construction of the Multipurpose Hall at the “Claro en el Monte” Secondary School in Toay, but three were left under review as they did not meet the necessary requirements.
The three bidding companies, all from La Pampa, are BK Construcciones, which submitted a budget of $2,087,904,944; Ilka Construcciones SRL, which offered $2,103,002,468; and Bepha Construcción SA, which quoted $2,171,230,055. All of them submitted bids as of October 2024.
The tender, published in the Provincial Official Gazette on November 1, established an official budget of $1,821,906,582.93 budgeted to September 2024. In this framework, they detailed that “we have to see the increase in construction rates”, but that “all companies submitted offers between 15 and 19% above the budget.”
The Minister of Public Works and Services, Alfredo Intronati; the Minister of Education, Marcela Feuerschvenger; the Mayor of Toay, Ariel Rojas; and the bidding companies were present at the opening ceremony. The Minister stressed that “it is a new building with potential for the educational sector and the Toay population in general.” “The Secondary School Multipurpose Hall is a dream that Mayor Ariel Rojas had since his previous term and continues to be so in the current one. He insisted on its construction to complete the building, because this space will provide space for the realization of different activities that transcend those of a purely educational nature,” added Intronati. And he emphasized that Toay “is a town that shows a demographic and urban growth in continuous development,” and that “its evolution is a more than considerable reason for the presence and realization of works such as these.” For his part, Feuerschvenger highlighted that “the secondary school currently has a significant enrollment,” so the new SUM “will be an appropriate space to offer more and better proposals for students.” In turn, Ariel Rojas highlighted the importance of the SUM for his town, emphasizing that “this work means one more step in achieving the objective that we have been seeking for a long time.” “I deeply thank the governor for granting us this opportunity, understanding and knowing the context in which we are, where it is not easy and it is almost utopian to carry out a public work,” he added, and highlighted the social support that this space will bring to the Toayense community.
The project has a completion period of 540 calendar days, during which a covered volleyball and basketball court with an area for the public will be built, as well as two service blocks, one containing bathrooms and changing rooms for two teams, and the other containing an entrance hall, kitchen, storage room and ticket office. |
