Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Para Light Electronic has launched a compact solar LED street light with integrated photovoltaic panels and battery to provide up to 15 hours of illumination of pedestrian areas and roads.
Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Para Light Electronic has added a new integrated solar-powered light-emitting diode (LED) street light for pedestrian crossings and roadways to its outdoor lighting product line.
The PD-BJ200W system is a compact all-in-one 9,000 lumen solar street light with a light output of 50 W and a luminous flux of 200 lm/W. The recommended installation height is 6 to 8 meters.
A die-cast aluminium housing houses a 50Ah 12.8V battery, four Philips LED panels and a 100W 8V solar panel. It measures 1,420 x 420 x 240 mm. The solar panel is made from bifacial monocrystalline silicon cells.
“We purchase entire solar panels based on specific requirements, and do not source individual solar cells separately. Our solar cell technology is supplied by our cooperative suppliers,” a company spokesperson told pv magazine.
The PD-BJ200W provides full light for 15 hours and up to 48 hours in power-saving mode, with a charging time of 6 to 8 hours. The operating temperature is -30ºC to 60ºC. The colour temperature of the LEDs is 3,000k to 6,000k.
Para Light sells a range of integrated street lights. Its other photovoltaic products include solar-powered floodlights, garden lights and decorative lights. “The products are sold worldwide through importers,” the spokesman said. |
