Work Detail |
Kirloskar Solar Technologies and Oriana Power have secured significant contracts from NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) to develop solar power projects totaling 66 MW. Kirloskar Solar Technologies will undertake seven projects, including 32.29 MW of ground-mounted and 14.74 MW of rooftop solar installations across Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Gujarat, and Assam. The total contract value is ?2.08 billion.
Meanwhile, Oriana Power has been awarded contracts for 10.61 MW of ground-mounted and 8.65 MW of rooftop solar projects in Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. These contracts are valued at ?835.69 million. Both awards are part of a tender issued earlier this year in June, although one tender for a 6.32 MW project was canceled.
The timeline for these projects mandates that ground-mounted systems be completed within eight months of the work order issuance, while rooftop installations must be commissioned within six months. Following installation, both developers will handle operations and maintenance for a period of three years. To ensure quality, all solar modules used must conform to the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.
Oriana Power has also recently secured other notable contracts, including a ?5.2 billion, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract from Bharat Petroleum Corporation for a 52 MW ground-mounted solar project in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. |
