TIME has honored Sumant Sinha, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of ReNew (NASDAQ: RNW), as a global climate leader in its prestigious 2024 TIME100 Climate List. Sinha is celebrated for his pivotal role in advancing India’s clean energy revolution and contributing to the worldwide shift toward a low-carbon economy.
Under Sinha’s leadership, ReNew has become one of India’s top renewable energy companies. Over the past 13 years, the company has made remarkable strides in scaling India’s clean energy sector. In 2024, ReNew achieved a significant milestone, becoming one of the fastest clean energy companies to hit the 10 GW mark of operational assets, now accounting for around 10% of India’s total solar and wind power generation.
