Work Detail The equipment will be acquired through 18 bidding processes, which began in October and will continue throughout next year. This Wednesday, the envelopes were opened for the magnetic resonance and tomography equipment, worth more than $2 billion. It was headed by the minister, Silvia Ciancio; and the General Secretary of the province, Juan Cruz Cándido; together with the Secretary of Administration of the ministry, Guillermo Álvarez. While the final stage of construction of the “Dr. Jaime Ferré” Regional Hospital in Rafaela is underway, the Provincial Government has begun the bidding process that will allow for equipping all the highly complex services that the facility will have. This Wednesday, the offers for the purchase of the equipment required for the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Tomography services were announced, in an event that took place at the Government House. It was headed by the Minister of Health of the province, Silvia Ciancio; and the General Secretary of the Government of the Province, Juan Cruz Cándido; together with the Secretary of Administration of the ministry, Guillermo Álvarez. Considering the context in which these investments are made, the Secretary General stressed that “this is the way we have in Santa Fe to defend the public, with honesty in the management of funds, without waste, understanding at the same time that the State has a role in health, in education, in security, in public works, which it cannot and should not delegate, because it is the guarantee of equal access to essential rights.” Along these lines, he added that “Santa Fe is a well-managed province that can show the country how to have a surplus, how to have balance in public accounts, with a present government that innovates, invests, that understands the need to build a democracy of solutions in the province.” The Minister of Health expressed her commitment and that of her entire cabinet to “form a health team for the Regional Hospital. We have the political decision of Governor Maximiliano Pullaro to invest in the building and in technology, but a powerful health team is needed to work in that building and provide the care that the citizens of Rafaela and the entire region deserve and need.” In addition, she ratified the decision to strengthen the work of the public health network, at all levels: “for us, this new hospital is as important as the recovery of the Health Center of the Commune of Lehmann, which we tendered yesterday in the Castellanos Department. We find ourselves with a health network that is weakened in terms of buildings, but also in terms of links, and I believe that we are taking firm steps to retrace that path, organizing, working hard every day and with a lot of responsibility as the governor asks us to do.” Investment in Health For his part, Guillermo Álvarez praised the joint work with the Ministry of Economy and its technical areas, detailed the tenders that have already been carried out and anticipated that the investment in the equipment for the new hospital, with a budget for 2025, "will be one of the most important investments that we will have in health in these years, which will allow us to inaugurate one of the most modern hospitals in the country for sure." In this regard, he detailed that on October 28, tools, instruments and accessories for the bioengineering and maintenance workshop were put out to tender, with a budget of $28,584,225, and one offer was presented.
