It is for the El Güincho project, which the local company Akuopowersol is developing on 70 hectares in the province of Santo Domingo.
The National Energy Commission of the Dominican Republic (CNE) has announced the signing of a definitive concession contract with the Dominican company Akuopowersol for the development of the El Güincho photovoltaic park, of 75 MWp, to be located in the municipality of San Antonio de Guerra, Santo Domingo province, which will have a battery energy storage system (BESS) with a capacity of 20.7 MW / 82.8 MWh.
According to Resolution SIE-052-2024-RCD of the Superintendency of Electricity, the park will be composed of 135,135 555 Wp Jinko Solar modules, model JKM555-72HL4-BVD, with 16 inverters with a power of 4,200 kVA each.
The BESS, with the capacity to operate for up to 4 hours, will consist of 36 containers with capacity for 250 lithium batteries each, for a total of 9,000 units.
The project, which will be deployed on an area of ??70 hectares, is estimated to require an investment of 113.7 million dollars.
Once operational, expected next year, it will have the capacity to generate approximately 123.3 GWh per year. |
