BluPine Energy, a leading renewable energy services company in India, has launched a series of impactful initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable development and empowering local communities in Punjab’s Mansa district. The initiatives include the installation of solar-powered streetlights, the creation of Mini Science Centers in local schools, and the provision of vocational training to youth in three villages: Khaira Khurd, Mankhera, and Jhanda Kalan.
The vocational training programs, set to run for six months, are designed to equip 120 students — with 50% female participation — with essential skills to enhance their employability. BluPine Energy is not only providing training but also ensuring placement opportunities for successful candidates, addressing skill gaps in the region and empowering marginalized individuals with industry-relevant skills.
In addition to the vocational training, BluPine Energy is enhancing the region’s educational infrastructure by setting up Mini Science Centers in local schools for students in grades 8 to 10. These centers are aimed at promoting scientific curiosity and practical learning. The company is also installing solar-powered streetlights to improve safety, mobility, and sustainability in public spaces across the villages.
Sanjeev Bhatia, CFO of BluPine Energy, inaugurated the centers and emphasized the company’s commitment to advancing renewable energy while empowering communities. “These initiatives are a key part of our mission to create self-sufficient communities by providing skills, education, and infrastructure for sustainable growth,” Bhatia said. “By focusing on gender equality and inclusion, we’re building a diverse workforce that will contribute to local development and a more equitable society.”
