Work Detail | Beginning today and lasting possibly into next week; road work (milling and paving) will take place on Westfield Ave. and Terminal Ave. in Clark to realign the busy intersection. Scotch Plains and Fanwood motorists should expect to encounter delays if they are heading to or from the Garden State Parkway entrance and exit in Clark. According to the Clark Police Department, milling will happen during the day on Wednesday, Sept 7 through Friday, Sept. 9. Paving is scheduled for the overnight hours on Friday, from 8 p.m. until Saturday at 6 a.m. Additional paving, if necessary, is scheduled to take place during daytime hours on Monday, Sept. 12. Motorists are urged to stay alert if driving through the area, and should consider an alternate route during this phase of the project. Delays are expected. Terminal Ave. has been closed to through-traffic for several weeks during this stage of intersection construction. |
