Work Detail Greenzo Energy, India’s leading indigenous alkaline electrolyzer manufacturer and renewable energy solutions provider, has announced the securing of a major EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project to develop a 120 MW ground-mounted solar power plant in Nepal. Valued at Rs. 500 crore, the project is part of Greenzo’s ongoing commitment to strengthening clean energy infrastructure across South Asia and supporting Nepal’s renewable energy goals. The ambitious project will be implemented in phases, with a planned completion date set for 2025. It will be structured across 12 clusters, each featuring a 10 MW solar installation. All systems will be fully ground-mounted, and a high-tension transmission line will be developed to connect directly to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) grid. The surplus power generated will be evacuated back to the national grid, optimizing energy flow and enhancing grid stability while extending energy access to a wider region. As the EPC provider, Greenzo will leverage its extensive experience in large-scale solar projects to manage the end-to-end execution, ensuring seamless delivery of the project. Leadership Comments Sandeep Agarwal, Managing Director of Greenzo Energy India, expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating, “This marks a significant step in our efforts to advance sustainable energy infrastructure and foster cross-border energy partnerships. With the Letter of Credit secured and work underway, we are committed to delivering each phase with precision. Through this initiative, we aim to support Nepal’s environmental goals and position India as a leader in the global renewable energy sector.” Executive Director of Greenzo, Kushal Agarwal, also commented, “This project is not only a business milestone, but a shared vision for a greener South Asia. Our long-standing collaboration with Nepalese stakeholders will allow us to provide lasting, community-driven benefits, further cementing Greenzo’s role as a global leader in clean energy.” Project Impact Greenzo has worked closely with Nepalese authorities and local project developers for over two years to ensure the successful execution of this project. More than 500 job opportunities are expected to be created during the development and implementation phases. The company will oversee all aspects of the project, including engineering, procurement, and installation. This new solar project represents a crucial step in Greenzo’s broader goal of building a sustainable and resilient energy future that benefits global communities, economies, and ecosystems
