Global Health Ltd, the parent company of Medanta Hospital, has entered an operations and management agreement with the Dr. Narayan Dutt Shirmali Foundation International Charitable Trust Society to run a 750-bed super specialty hospital in Pitampura, New Delhi. The facility is expected to open in four years, pending necessary regulatory approvals.
Under the agreement, the Society will construct the hospital building and civil infrastructure, while Medanta will invest approximately ?600 crore over the next 3-4 years to provide internal fit-outs, furniture, and medical equipment. This capital expenditure will be funded through a combination of internal accruals and debt financing.
Medanta will manage the hospitals day-to-day operations, with the agreement covering an initial term of 30 years, which can be extended based on mutual terms.
