Work Detail Located in the province of Coclé, it is a project developed by the energy company Celsia for the agro-industrial company Calesa. It will cover all the energy required for the operations of a sugar mill and two other plants. Celsia, the energy division of Grupo Argos, together with the agro-industrial company Calesa, has inaugurated a 3.8 MWp plant in the Panamanian province of Coclé, intended to cover the companys operations. The installation, with more than 6 thousand solar panels, is deployed on 4.5 hectares of the La Estrella farm, located in the district of Antón. It is estimated that it will generate 5.75 GWh per year, production that will be entirely destined to cover the operations of the agro-industrial company: a sugar mill, a rice processing plant and a balanced feed plant. The project, which is expected to involve an investment of more than 4 million dollars, has been developed by Celsia, which will manage it under a 15-year service contract. The energy company currently claims a combined installed capacity of 51 MW in Honduras, Panama and Costa Rica, with another 22 MW under construction.
