According to the protesters, the electric companies have been systematically issuing disapprovals for the reversal of the flow of energy and acting with a lack of transparency in their disapprovals. Members of the sector are marching towards Campinas, São Paulo, and São Leopoldo, Rio Grande do Sul, to demand compliance with the law and the regulation of distributed generation. The rally is scheduled for 2 p.m.
More than 1,200 solar energy integrators have confirmed their presence at the demonstration in front of the headquarters of distributors CPFL in Campinas (São Paulo) and RGE in São Leopoldo (Rio Grande do Sul). The mobilization, which will begin in both cities at 2 p.m., demands the right of consumers to connect their solar energy systems to the electricity distribution network. The sector has been suffering from the denial of requests for new connections due to the reversal of the electricity flow, and demands compliance with the law and the regulation of distributed generation.
According to the regulations, energy distribution companies must present five technically well-designed alternatives with the signature and ART of the responsible technician. Currently, according to the organizers of the demonstrations, the rejections are poorly founded, which generates complaints to the ombudsman of the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) and unnecessary costs.
In an interview with pv magazine , Movimento Solar Livre president Hewerton Martins pointed out the lack of transparency in the disapprovals and the absence of a technical basis in resolutions such as Aneels 1,059 of 2023, which introduced flow reversal as a reason for disapproval.
The Movimento Solar Livre portal has been collecting complaints that will be forwarded to the Consumer Protection Commission (CDC), in agreement with federal deputy Celso Russomanno, vice president of the group, so that the electricity companies explain why they are not complying with Law 14,300 and so that the competent bodies demand transparency in the regulations.
In a video released by MSL, Russomano said that “I am here to talk about solar energy without blockade, because of the movement that the people of the Campinas region are making against CPFL, which is preventing consumers from installing solar energy in their homes. This is absurd and you can tell the Consumer Defense Committee of the Chamber of Deputies. Let us act together and I support the demonstration that is taking place. The important thing is that everyone participates and defends solar energy for all without CPFL blocking it.” |
