Work Detail Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) received a delegation from Al Salam Bank headed by Muna Al Balooshi, Group Head for Human Resources and Administration, along with a group of bank trainees.

The delegation were given first-hand information about the BIBF experience the pioneer training provider, leading excellence in training and development for the business and financial sectors throughout 35 years of operations. This was followed by two sessions of activities in several areas of personal career development and planning. The activities provided the delegates an understating of the basis of building and developing a plan for a successful career in this competitive business industry. The delegates then were given a brief overview of current developments in the Islamic Finance industry especially in the human capital skills development area.

The BIBF’s Director Solveig Nicklos welcomed the delegates and praised Al Salam Bank’s prosperity in the Islamic Finance industry and the value it adds to the Bahraini economy.

In addition, she expressed appreciation for Al-Salam Bank’s interest in training Bahrainis and reducing the skills gap in the labour market in order to meet the economic development goals of the kingdom. She also stated, "We look forward to introduce these future bankers to this continuously progressing world and we hope that it will be a rewarding opportunity for their career and personal development."

On this occasion, Al Balooshi, Group Head of Human Resources and Administration in the Al Salam Bank – Bahrain, expressed her gratitude to the BIBF for their hospitality to host this group of bank trainees to enrich their training experience. This visit informed the trainees of the important role of the institute in the training and development of human resources in the financial and banking sector in the Kingdom. She also noted that these visits are considered an important part of the summer training programme, which the bank emphasises on hosting on an annual basis to students from various local and international universities to link their theoretical studies with practical experience.

At the end of the visit, the BIBF thanked Al Salam Bank for choosing the BIBF and for their visit.
