The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), Oman issued a tender for the project to establish “Al Mudhaibi Industrial City” in North A’Sharqiyah Governorate. The tender targets specialized companies in the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The bidders are invited to participate in the tender through an Omani-Saudi coalition for implementing the city’s infrastructure (first phase).
The tender provides for the development of approximately 2.5 million square metres of land. The process covers basic services like road networks, water, sewage, lighting, security fences and the installation of surveillance devices.
The complex will also include administrative offices, private parking lots, truck entrance and exit tracks. It also includes a service building that will house offices of the industrial city’s management teams.
Another unit, “Masar Service Centre”, will serve as a one-stop shop for investors.
Mahmoud Yahya Al Dhuhli, Governor of North Al Sharqiyah, said that Al Mudhaibi Industrial City would be an integrated environment for the industrial sector in the governorate. The facility comprises all necessary units to serve the sectors of mining, food, tourism and other sectors whose raw materials are available near the governorate, he added.
For his part, Sheikh Saud Mohammed Al Hinai, Wali of Al Mudhaibi, said that the city covers an area of about 9 million square metres, of which ??3 million square metres will be allocated to commercial and industrial sectors during the first phase.
He pointed out that the city seeks to enhance industrial development in the governorate, serving as a motivator for investment and quality projects.
Al Hinai stressed that the industrial city offers many investment incentives, including tax exemptions, 100% free ownership of projects by non-Omanis and renewable lease contracts extending to 30 years. |
