Sistema.bio, a global leader in biogas technology and services for small-scale farmers, has announced the acquisition of Inclusive Energy (IE), a pioneer in remote sensing technology for biogas and solar energy systems. This strategic move strengthens Sistema.bio’s capacity to deliver high-impact biogas solutions with advanced digital Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV) capabilities, enhancing service quality and long-term support for family farmers worldwide.
With this acquisition, Sistema.bio solidifies its position as the largest full-service biogas company, now equipped with a biogas-specific dMRV platform. This integration will facilitate scaled carbon emission reduction projects with precise digital monitoring.
“We have been integrating Inclusive Energy’s digital MRV platform into our biogas units for the past three years as part of our carbon emissions reduction initiatives. This acquisition propels us forward, enhancing our technology to support farmers more effectively and reduce both carbon and methane emissions,” stated Alex Eaton, CEO and co-founder of Sistema.bio. He added that the merger aligns with Sistema.bio’s mission to contribute significantly toward a 1% annual reduction in global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030.
The addition of Inclusive Energy’s expertise in remote monitoring and biogas performance tracking aligns with Sistema.bio’s commitment to providing sustainable biogas solutions for family farmers. Vijay Bhopal, CEO of Inclusive Energy, expressed enthusiasm about the alliance, stating, “Joining Sistema.bio allows us to advance our mission at a larger scale, supporting millions of farmers while enhancing credibility in the carbon markets.”
This integration brings new functionalities to Sistema.bio’s offerings in the Internet of Things (IoT) and remote sensing arena. Farmers and partners will benefit from a real-time monitoring system for biogas digesters, which includes remote diagnostics, usage analytics for carbon reporting, and predictive maintenance data.
Independent Board Chair Joyce Cacho underscored the importance of the acquisition, noting, “Integrating IE’s dMRV technology not only scales our business growth but also enhances ROI for farmers, securing integrity in carbon impact data.” |
