This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Energy, Javier Eduardo Campillo, after a meeting attended by, among others, President Gustavo Petro, the CEO and General Director of Enel, Flavio Cattaneo, and the General Manager of Enel Colombia and Central America, Francesco Bertoli.
According to the Colombian Deputy Minister of Energy, Javier Eduardo Campillo, Enel Colombia, the subsidiary in the country of the Italian energy company Enel, will invest in the coming years close to two billion euros "to continue accelerating this fair energy transition to which we are committed from the national government," he said.
The deputy minister made the statement after participating in a meeting that was also attended by, among others, Colombian President Gustavo Petro and, representing Enel, its CEO and general director, Flavio Cattaneo, and the general manager of Enel Colombia and Central America, Francesco Bertoli.
“It is very important for us to continue working as a team with these companies to guarantee not only a safe supply of energy in the country, but also a clean one,” added Campillo.
For his part, Cattaneo, after thanking President Petro and the Colombian government for the meeting, said: “We had the opportunity to discuss together our common vision on the energy transition. We confirmed our interest in the development of the country.”
“For us, Colombia represents one of the six key countries, as we are present throughout the entire value chain, and it is in our interest to continue investing to contribute to the energy transition and the modernization of the countrys infrastructure,” concluded the CEO of Enel. |
