Developed and built by Solarcity, it is expected to cover the entire daytime electricity consumption of the aviation companys headquarters.
At the Chilean Eulogio Sánchez Errázuriz aerodrome, popularly known as Tobalaba aerodrome, in the commune of La Reina, Metropolitan region of Santiago, a 343 kW photovoltaic carport has been inaugurated, intended to cover the entire daytime electricity consumption of the headquarters of the French aviation company Airbus.
The installation was carried out by the company Solarity, which explains that "the (photovoltaic) structures are located on the companys parking lot, joining the solar trend of recent years with solar carports, in addition to the panels installed on the roof of the main building."
This is a total of 729 solar panels with an estimated annual generation of 519.1 MWh.
The building houses the Airbus office building, a helicopter hangar and the Airbus Chile Training Centre. |
