Orb Energy has successfully completed the installation of an 800-kilowatt rooftop solar system at Esteem Industries Private Limited in Alonde, Wada, Maharashtra. The newly installed system is expected to generate over 1 million units of electricity annually, significantly reducing the factory’s reliance on conventional power sources. This renewable energy initiative is projected to cut approximately 1,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually, contributing to environmental sustainability alongside cost savings. Esteem Industries, a leading manufacturer of surfactants and specialty chemicals in India with over three decades of experience, stands to benefit from the installation due to its high energy consumption. The solar system is designed to generate around 3,100 kilowatt-hours of solar energy per day, covering approximately 80% of the company’s daytime electricity needs. Esteem Industries expects to recover its investment in solar energy within just two years and three months, reinforcing the economic advantages of the transition to renewable power. Saurabh Seth, General Manager of PV Projects at Orb Energy, expressed the company’s commitment to promoting solar power solutions, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). “Our solar installations provide substantial economic savings while helping companies achieve their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals,” he said.
