OSV owner Tidewater has clinched a new charter deal for its platform supply vessel Troms Lyra.
Offshore shipbrokers report a 170-day fixture with energy sector logistics provider Peterson Den Helder on supply duties for the plug and abandonment jackup rig Well-Safe Protector.
The 2013 Vard-built PSV that Tidewater took over with the acquisition of Norway’s Troms Offshore, was previously contracted for about four months to support the same rig on a four-well decommissioning campaign for Neptune Energy.
The rig is operated by Aberdeen-headquartered decom specialists Well-Safe Solutions which secured a contract from Neptune Energy to to plug and abandon at least four subsea and 21 platform wells in the Dutch and UK sectors of the North Sea.
Tidewater’s contract in March came at £19,500 ($25,000) per day. Dayrates for the latest fixture, which comes attached with 120 days of options have not been disclosed. |
