Norwegian offshore vessel owner and operator DOF has secured what it describes as a substantial contract for one of its platform suppliers in Australia.
The Oslo-listed group has fixed the 2011-built Skandi Feistein for 18 months to an undisclosed international oil company in a deal worth between $25m and $50m.
The fixture, starting in direct continuation from the vessel’s existing contract, comes with an option for a further 18-month extension.
“This agreement contributes to maintaining DOF’s presence in Australia,” the company said in a filing on Wednesday.
Last month, DOF, which is set to boost its fleet to nearly 80 ships once the acquisition of Maersk Supply Service wraps up, won a decommissioning contract in Western Australian waters for the 2010-built construction support vessel (CSV) Skandi Hercules. |
