Work Detail Constant Energy, a leading provider of sustainable, world-class renewable energy solutions and an independent power producer (IPP) for both utility-scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) clients, is pleased to announce the successful signing of a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with its Japanese client, Idemitsu Lubricants Thailand. Idemitsu Lubricants Thailand is a subsidiary of Idemitsu Kosan, one of Japan’s leading energy companies. The agreement includes the installation of a 916-kW solar rooftop system at Idemitsu’s facility in the Rayong Industrial Estate. Among the attendees of the signing ceremony were key executives from Idemitsu Lubricants Thailand, including Suzuki Natsuya, Managing Director, and Mr. Yasaka Komuro, Deputy Managing Director, and key representatives from Constant Energy including Franck Constant, CEO of Constant Energy, Idemitsu Lubricants Thailand, a subsidiary of the Idemitsu Kosan Group, brings the strength of one of Japan’s largest and most respected energy companies. With operations in over 30 countries worldwide, Idemitsu Kosan is a pioneer in petroleum, chemicals, and renewable energy, renowned for its long-standing commitment to innovation and sustainability. Aligned with Thailand’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) targets—aiming for a 30-40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, and the long-term strategies to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and net-zero emissions by 2065—this project will make Idemitsu Lubricants one of the active participants in supporting these goals. Over the next two decades, the large-scale solar installation is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 10,332 tons. Suzuki Natsuya, Managing Director of Idemitsu Lubricants Thailand, shared his thoughts on the partnership: “This collaboration is a significant step in our commitment to sustainability.
