The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and its associated Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and institutions are participating in Special Campaign 4.0, launched by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG). The campaign aims to promote cleanliness and reduce pendency in government offices, running from October 2 to October 31, 2024. The preparatory phase took place from September 16 to September 30, 2024, with involvement from MNRE, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA), Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI), and three autonomous institutions: the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), the National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE), and Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Bio Energy (SSS-NIBE).
During the preparatory phase, the Ministry and its associated organizations identified various pending tasks and set specific targets for completion during the implementation phase of the campaign, which is ongoing until October 31. By the halfway mark, the Ministry had already achieved over 75% of its targets in key areas such as resolving public grievances, addressing grievance appeals, processing state government references, and conducting cleanliness campaigns.
To support this initiative, training sessions on record management and related procedures were held at various locations, including Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan in New Delhi on September 26, the NISE campus in Gurugram on October 10, the NIWE campus in Chennai on October 14, and the NIBE campus in Kapurthala on October 17. These sessions focused on provisions in the Central Secretariat Manual of Office Procedure and other record management practices.
Additionally, the Nodal Officer for the campaign conducted inspections of the Ministry’s office areas, including the record room and gymnasium, and guided improving record and space management. The campaign’s progress is being monitored every three days, to achieve 100% of the targets by the end of the month. |
