Singapore-headquartered Cyan Renewables and Blue Water Shipping have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on providing a wide range of logistical services for the offshore wind sector in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Under the MoU, the partners agree to provide a wide range of logistical services and infrastructure to facilitate the transportation of offshore wind components via the ocean/road, route survey, port marshalling yard, and more. According to the companies, the consortium will leverage their combined expertise and resources to foster the development of comprehensive logistical solutions and seek opportunities to establish marshalling ports for the offshore wind industry in the APAC region. “This collaboration with Blue Water came at a critical time of robust growth in Asia’s offshore wind industry, allowing us to address the sector’s pressing infrastructure needs and logistical complexities. By merging our expertise and resources in offshore wind, we can streamline the supply chain and ensure that the supply of critical components and services is handled efficiently, paving the way for the region’s renewable energy expansion”, said Lee Keng Lin, CEO of Cyan Renewables. The partners stated their dedication to resolving key logistical issues, especially concerning the supply of critical components and the efficient support of offshore wind installation and operations and maintenance (O&M) operations. “Through this partnership, we aim to address critical logistical challenges and contribute to the sustainable growth of the offshore wind industry, ultimately advancing the region’s renewable energy transition”, said Jason Goh, Regional Managing Director of Asia at Blue Water. |
