The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) in collaboration with the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP), Saudi Arabia announces the list of qualified Bidders for the Development of power plant at Empty Quarter – Rub’al Khali (EQ- Power Project).
Following is the List of (4) consortiums / companies that are qualified:

Lamar Holding W.L.L.
Olayan Energy Limited/Enerwhere Sustainable Energy
Project Scope of Work includes:
Design and develop power generation facility in accordance with ZATCA’s defined electricity demand at EQ land port and minimum technical requirements and output specifications.
Operate and maintain the power generation facility for a defined term of the Project in accordance with the minimum technical requirements and output specifications specified by ZATCA.
Power generation and distribution up to the ZATCA interface point.
Arranging of relevant permits and necessary approvals for the construction and operation of the Plant.
The contract type is Design – Build – Finance – Operate – Maintain – Transfer (DBFOMT) and the duration will cover construction period and 25 years of operations and maintenance period.
The Project aims to minimize use of diesel fuel by using renewable energy and fulfil long term power supply needs at the Empty Quarter land port through a PPP model inline with Kingdom’s Vision 2030. |
