Avaada Electro Private Limited has laid the foundation stone for its integrated solar manufacturing facility in Butibori MIDC, Nagpur, with a substantial investment of ?13,650 crore. The project is expected to generate direct employment for 5,000 people. The facility will focus on producing solar ingots, wafers, cells, modules, and electrolyzers, aiming to drive sustainable energy production using advanced technology certified by IEC, UL, and BIS and listed on the ALMM.
During the event, Maharashtras Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, praised the project as a visionary "Make in India" initiative, spearheaded by Avaada Groups chairman, Vineet Mittal. Fadnavis highlighted Mittal’s role in crafting Maharashtras green hydrogen and green ammonia policy, which has attracted significant investments to the state. He also noted that the equipment for India’s new energy needs will be manufactured at this facility.
Fadnavis added that Maharashtra has taken bold steps in renewable energy, launching several initiatives, including 12,000 MW solar projects and a 55,000 MW pump storage project, positioning the state as a leader in clean energy development. |
