Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Maharashtra on Saturday, where he will launch and inaugurate multiple development projects worth over ?56,000 crore, according to officials.
Modi will begin his visit in Washim, where he will offer prayers at the Jagdamba Mata temple in Poharadevi and pay tribute at the samadhis of Sant Sevalal Maharaj and Sant Ramrao Maharaj. He will then inaugurate the Banjara Virasat Museum, dedicated to celebrating the heritage of the Banjara community.
In Mumbai, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the BKC-Aarey JVLR section of Mumbai Metro Line 3, costing around ?14,120 crore, and take a ride between the BKC and Santacruz stations. He will also lay the foundation stone for infrastructure projects in Thane worth over ?32,800 crore, including the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project, valued at ?12,200 crore, and the ?3,310 crore Elevated Eastern Freeway Extension from Chheda Nagar to Anand Nagar.
In Washim, Modi will launch a series of agricultural and animal husbandry initiatives worth ?23,300 crore. As part of his efforts to support farmers, he will disburse the 18th instalment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi, totaling ?20,000 crore to around 94 million farmers. Additionally, he will launch the 5th instalment of the NaMo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana, releasing ?2,000 crore.
The Prime Minister will also dedicate more than 7,500 projects under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), worth ?1,920 crore, and launch the Unified Genomic Chip for cattle, along with sex-sorted semen technology aimed at reducing costs for farmers.
At 6 p.m., Modi will flag off a metro service from BKC to Aarey JVLR and travel between BKC and Santacruz stations. He will also dedicate five solar parks with a total capacity of 19 MW across Maharashtra under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0.
Modi’s visit includes the foundation stone-laying for the Phase-1 of the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) project, valued at ?2,550 crore, which will include arterial roads, bridges, and integrated infrastructure. The projects reflect key infrastructure and economic developments in Maharashtra as the state heads toward assembly elections. |
