Velesto Drilling, the offshore drilling unit of Malaysia’s Velesto Energy, has signed a memorandum of understanding with oilfield services giant SLB to enhance rig capabilities.
The three-year collaboration will see SLB deploy its DrillOps Intelligent Well Delivery and Insights Solutions as well as its Drilling Emissions Management Solutions on designated Velesto rigs. These digital solutions are designed to enhance and optimise drilling performance and monitor emissions.
It was not stated which rigs will be getting the SLB upgrades. Currently, Velesto Drilling has six offshore jackup drilling rigs.
