Weretilneck signed documentation for the return of public works to Viedma, and referred to the conflict with UNTER
The governor of Río Negro expressed his satisfaction with the two works that will begin in the capital of Río Negro.
Regarding Río Negro, Alberto Weretilneck promised to work for the sector, and this Monday the 30th there was news. «In this case, two important works: on the one hand, the construction of 20 houses for the Santa Clara cooperative and, on the other hand, the water network for the Rucci subdivision, which is an access to the land for the CGT, but which is part of the urban plan for Viedma capital», commented the governor at the microphone of Radio Noticias (105.5) of Viedma.
On the matter, he expressed his satisfaction because there were many offers. "This means transparency, competitiveness and, on the other hand, confidence in the provincial government, because the fact of having many offers really fills me with satisfaction. We are very pleased with these new plots and new homes for the residents of Viedma," he stressed.
Changing the subject, he referred to the conflict with UNTER, the unions confrontation with the police, and the attempt to prevent the Legislature from holding a session last week. "Not only the violent attitude, but also the fact of attacking and injuring police personnel who were carrying out their work, but also the substance of the matter," he mentioned.
On this, he explained: “What was being discussed was the essentiality, on the one hand, but on the other hand the range of rights. I insist on this: the first right that exists relative to education is that students receive education. The second right is that parents, who are the ones who pay the taxes for teachers and for all of us, can have their children in schools. The third right is that of the provincial State, which pays the salaries, that with those salaries it pays, the task is fulfilled. And the fourth right is that of the education workers to exercise the right to strike.”
"Essentiality is what regulates this range of rights. No one is deprived of any right and, on the contrary, it regulates the system. Note that with the compliance last week, the law did not even have to be applied, because, in fact, the schools were open, because there were cities where compliance was 50 percent," Weretilneck stressed.
On the subject of education, he stressed: “Since we took office, the only thing we have done are gestures and actions to benefit teachers. In fact, teachers from Río Negro are the ones with the best salaries in the country. You can see this anywhere. All those things that the national State took from teachers in the education system, the province of Río Negro maintained. We have not produced any restrictive or adjustment measures…we have done everything to benefit public education.”
