Road Tax: New package of works worth one billion pesos awarded . It will be for the repair of 12 thousand square meters of concrete pavements. The funds come from the collection of fuel charges. The Municipal Road and Lighting Authority (Emvial) awarded a package of road works for an amount of more than one billion pesos, resources that come from the local rate applied to the loading of liquid fuels through the Tax for the Maintenance of the Municipal Road Network. Through Resolution 199/24, the president of Emvial, Mariano Bowden, formalized the award of Public Tender 7/24 in favor of Emprendimientos Eléctricos del Sur SA, with an investment of $1,044 million. The work consists of the repair of 12 thousand square meters of concrete pavements in different areas of the city, to be defined by the entity. At the opening of the envelopes on September 4, Emvial had received two more offers, both higher than the winning one: LFR Constructora Vial SA offered $1,229 million and Pasalto Materiales SRL $1,076 million. This is the third tender that the agency has carried out after the implementation of the Road Tax in February of this year. The first was awarded at the beginning of the year with a budget of 3 billion, and by August half of the planned work had already been completed. Meanwhile, on September 3, the second tender was held to carry out preventive maintenance of concrete pavements, with a favorable award to Pasalto Materiales, the same firm that is carrying out the first front of works.
